Description Technical Specs

Upgraded with a 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7-9850H six-core processor, the Black Weave 15.6" ThinkPad P1 Laptop Workstation (Gen 2) from Lenovo delivers power and mobility. If you need more power, the system can be overclocked to 4.6 GHz using Intel Turbo Boost technology. The 16GB of 2666 MHz DDR4 RAM helps to ensure smooth multitasking and also allows the computer to quickly access frequently used files and programs. For storage of your files, this ThinkPad P1 is equipped with a 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD.

The 15.6" IPS display features a High Dynamic Range Ultra HD 3840 x 2160 screen resolution, an anti-glare finish, LED-backlighting, a 16:9 aspect ratio, and a brightness of 500 cd/m2. The dedicated NVIDIA Quadro T2000 Max-Q graphics card has 4GB of discrete GDDR5 RAM and delivers a sharp, clear picture. To increase productivity with a multi-monitor setup, you'll be able to output video to an external display at resolutions up to 5120 x 2880 via HDMI 2.0. Add external storage, optical drives, memory card readers, and more with two 5 Gb/s USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one of which doubles as an always-on charging port, and two 40 Gb/s Thunderbolt 3 ports over USB Type-C. There's also a 4-in-1 card reader that supports MMC, SD, SDHC, and SDXC.

Access the internet with Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) or Mini Gigabit Ethernet for built-in wired and wireless networking. Connect to other compatible peripherals with Bluetooth 5.1 technology. Additional integrated features include 720p & IR webcams, a fingerprint reader, a Kensington lock slot, dual-array microphones, and 2W stereo speakers with Dolby Audio Premium.

The ThinkPad P1 Laptop Workstation includes a 135W slim tip AC power adapter, and an 80Wh battery that can last up to 13 hours. The battery also supports Rapid Charge, allowing it to charge up to 80% in one hour. The installed operating system is Windows 10 Pro.

ThinkPad P1 Laptop Workstation (Gen 2)
The Difference You Can Dee and Hear
The ThinkPad P1 (Gen 2) features a crisp Dolby Vision HDR 4K UHD panel that displays the most true-to-life colors the human eye can perceive. Moreover, with the Dolby Atmos speaker system and dual far-field microphones, the brilliance of the ThinkPad's display is matched with a robust audio experience.

All New Levels of Power
This mobile workstation is built to tear through demanding computing tasks. Whether you're an architect using AutoCAD, or a content creator using visual-effects software, with an Intel Core i7 processor and an NVIDIA Quadro GPU, this laptop will keep the applications you need for work running lag-free. With abundant storage space available, large files aren't a problem. Additionally, this laptop includes ISV certification for ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Creo, Decision Space, McKesson, Revit, SolidWorks, 3dsMax, and more.

Well Connected
Buckle up for fast internet with Wi-Fi 6. Built to reach speeds of up to 9.6 Gb/s, it's 2.7 times faster than Wi-Fi 5 and is designed to maintain optimal functionality in crowded networks. Cruise through downloads on your office network, or connect to several smart devices at home. The ThinkPad P1 (Gen 2) can handle the traffic. And with a battery that doesn't quit for up to 13 hours, you have the freedom to go wherever you want.

Workstation Power Has Never Looked So Good
Boasting ThinkPad's signature black finish and encased in carbon-fiber and magnesium alloy, the ThinkPad P1 (Gen 2) has the style to match the power inside. At a mere 17.2mm thin, no one will mistake this machine for anything less than an ultra-premium must-have.

Built for Any Environment
Because you need reliability, the ThinkPad P1 (Gen 2) is tested against 12 military-grade requirements and more than 200 quality checks to ensure it runs in extreme conditions. From the Arctic wilderness to desert dust storms, from zero gravity to spills and drops, you can trust this laptop to handle whatever life throws your way.

Small Stature, Immense Capabilities
It's not just power that the ThinkPad P1 (Gen 2) packs into its slim chassis. It's robust connectivity that makes the real difference, including two Thunderbolt 3 ports, as well as USB 3.1, and HDMI ports.

Protects Your Data and Privacy
Keep your business data and privacy safe with the ThinkPad P1 (Gen 2)'s security features. Its discrete Trusted Platform Module (dTPM) encrypts data and works in conjunction with Windows 10 security features. ThinkShutter, a physical camera cover, blocks the lens to ensure that you're only seen when you want to be. Or, use the IR camera with Windows Hello to log in with your smile. The fingerprint reader uses biometrics to not only log you in with a simple touch, but protect you from spoofing attacks.

Thunderbolt 3
Thunderbolt 3 is a hardware interface that utilizes the reversible USB Type-C connector. Doubling the speed of its predecessor, Thunderbolt 3 features a maximum bi-directional throughput of 40 Gb/s when used with compatible devices. The connector also transmits data via USB 3.1 at up to 10 Gb/s, and dual-bandwidth DisplayPort 1.2 allows you to simultaneously connect two 4K displays or one 5K display. Additionally, you can daisy chain up to six devices from a single Thunderbolt 3 port.

Up to Four Simultaneous Displays
The ThinkPad P1 supports up to four simultaneous displays. DisplayPort via Thunderbolt 3 supports resolutions up to 5120 x 2880 @ 30 Hz, while the HDMI port supports resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 @ 60 Hz.

Bluetooth 5.1
Additional compatible peripherals, such as mice, keyboards, headsets, and more may be paired using Bluetooth 5.1 technology.

Windows 10 Professional (64-Bit)
Start Menu
After its hiatus in Windows 8, the Start Menu has returned. Utilizing a combination of the traditional menu system and Windows 8's Live Tiles, the improved Start Menu gives you more information at a glance, showing notification information alongside your applications and other pinned items.

Cortana
Microsoft's digital personal assistant, Cortana can answer your questions with information gleaned from both your device and the internet at large. You can type or even talk with her, if your system has a microphone. Using her Notebook, Cortana keeps track of your needs and wants, and she learns over time to improve her information gathering skills.

Microsoft Edge
After nearly 20 years, Microsoft has finally replaced its Internet Explorer web browser. With Microsoft Edge, users can write directly on web pages and share notes with friends and colleagues. It also improves the online reading experience by adding a distraction-free mode and read-it-later functionality. Edge also has built-in Cortana integration; you can have her help you find a restaurant, make a reservation, and pull up directions without leaving your browser.

Windows Store
For Windows 10, Microsoft has unified the Windows Store. Now, apps for PCs, tablets, and phones will all be accessible from one place. And with support for Universal Apps, one version of an app can work across all your compatible devices automatically.
Windows Continuum
Windows 10 was designed for a variety of screen sizes and input styles, and with its Continuum feature, it automatically adapts to fit your needs. A Windows 10 tablet on its own requires a touch-centric approach, but attaching a mouse and keyboard will shift everything to a more traditional interface. You can even attach an external monitor to your Windows 10 phone for a near-desktop experience. But it's not just the operating system; Windows Universal Apps take advantage of Continuum as well.

Xbox on Windows 10
Gaming is a big focus of Windows 10. Xbox integration allows for PC players to match up against Xbox One players on supported games, and if you have an Xbox One, you can even stream compatible titles to your PC. Native support for recording with the new Game DVR feature makes it easy to capture and share your gameplay. The new DirectX12 takes better advantage of multi-core processors, giving games a performance boost, even on older hardware. Windows 10 also features native support for virtual reality headsets, such as the Oculus Rift.

Windows 10 Pro
The Pro version of Windows 10 includes all of the features of Windows 10 Home plus many designed specifically for business users, including Hyper-V virtualization, BitLocker disk encryption, and remote desktop access. Devices will also be able to join domains and the Azure Active Directory, and they can even access a specialized version of the Windows Store featuring custom, company-specific applications.
